TRAVEL
"Body is the tabernacle,
Traveling one thousand miles,
The gods are still in place.
Followers of Tao believe that the
gods are within themselves. Therefore, wherever they go, they
carry the gods within them.
During their travels, when they
come to a resting place, they open not a receptacle but themselves.
Even while sojourning, they remain oriented to their inner
sacredness. Perhaps they can even make breakthroughs more
quickly, for the preoccupations of the mind are no longer
present to interfere with the flow of the divine. Once people
connect to their inner strength, there is no end to the wonders
of travel."
Deng, Ming Dao
These words speak to the experiences
I hope I shall be open to over the next few weeks. It is an
opportunity to discover my inner strength and to, indeed,
experience the wonders of the flow of the divine.
While this does not seem to be
the best time for me to make a trip to China, considering
all that is going on: moving and building a new school. It
is a spiritual pilgrimage for me. I will return with wonders
to share with each of you. Even more able to continue to grow
in my own practice and my ability to share my knowledge with
all my students. This is an unusual opportunity for training
in the Taoist monasteries that is not often available, particularly
to westerners. So bear with me.
Please flow with the move of classes

to learn from Jeff, Carol and Bob who have a great deal to
offer.
Please help John Laabs and Peter
Olsen whenever you can on our new school. We need your help
whenever you can offer it. If you are not receiving e-mail
announcements of the work calls let me know or get in touch
with John at 961-9860.
I hope you all have a great final
three weeks in this session and I look forward to seeing you
next session.

6th ANNUAL WORLD TAIJI AND QIGONG

our own John Laabs for his Herculean effort to organize and
promote this event. The new location was great, over 300 people
attended and he even managed good weather. A grand time was
had by all. The warm-ups, led by Gary Donovan, were great
and new to many of us. The demonstrations were fascinating
and inspiring. So plan for next year - April 30. Mark your
calendars now so you don't miss it.
