For those of you who have not had the pleasure of seeing
our new school here is a peek. It really is a wonderful place
to play T'ai Chi close to nature. Hope you can come and join
us soon. If you wish to contribute to the building fund your
gift would be greatly appreciated. The building fund is still
in need of about $2500.00 to complete paying for our new school.

This is a calligraphy I brought back from Xi'an, China
this summer. The large characters say "Be still, go far".
A good T'ai Chi message reminding us of the value of finding
stillness within movement and that you can make progress
wherever you are. Dr. Jay suggested it reminded him of
the Tao Te Ching line from Chapter 47 which says, "The
Master arrives without leaving home…". A thought for us
all to meditate on. It hangs in our school. |
The other day one of my students asked what my lesson had
been during the building of the school. I immediately replied,
"Learning, after I had done my best, to let go and trust that
the Tao (the Universe) would do what had to be done. To let
go and not try to control." In the third Chapter of the Tao
Te Ching it says, "Practice not doing (wu wei), and everything
will fall into place.". I had this lesson presented to me
several times. It would seem that not much was happening and
I would leap to, "I'll never have a school!". Then I would
go to the I Ching and The Little Old Man in the Yellow Coat
would find another way of repeating the lesson. I'm glad he
didn't give up.
This is a lesson we all need to learn both for our T'ai Chi
and for our life. Master Jou said it in his principles: Know
Yourself ~ Do your Very Best ~ Don't Overdo ~ Make a little
Progress Every Day!
Thank you Master Jou, David
Beginning in January David will begin teaching a 4 credit
course in Taijiquan at the Connecticut College Dance Department.
This is a reat honor as there are few credit Taiji courses
at the college level.
NEW CLASS ~ Sensing Hands with Jonas Sanchez
This is a special opportunity to explore the eight basic

anyone who has worked with Jonas and you will get a rave review.
This class is open to students at any level of T'ai Chi Ch'uan
training. You do not need to be a Peaceful Wolf student either.
Come take advantage of this exploration. More information
on the flyer.

WEI QI GONG will be repeated Sunday, February 27th.
Plan to learn (or come and practice) this powerful Qi Gong
treatment learned from Master Duan, Zhi Liang.
DR. JAY DUNBAR and KATHLEEN CUSICK will be returning
April 1st and 2nd to begin teaching Master Jou's Taiji
Dui Jian (Sword Duet) form. This is another form probably
learned by Master Jou from Xiong, Yanghe. We are particularly
fortunate that Dr. Jay and Kathleen learned this form and
can teach it to us. We will learn the first half this time.
It is not necessary that you know the Sword form in order
to take this workshop but you should have some Taiji weapons
experience. See the flyer for more information.
On April 3rd Dr. Jay and Kathleen will teach, for the first
time here, an Advanced San Shou Workshop. You must
know one side of the San Shou form in order to take this workshop.
See flyer.
MASTER JIANG, JIAN-YE will be returning in the Spring
to teach again. Watch for specifics.
WORLD T'AI CHI AND QIGONG DAY will be April 30th next
