School Etiquette
Peaceful Wolf Students: These guidelines apply to our classes; but you will  find they are particularly valuable when you study with other teachers or visit other schools

Mr. Shaver believes that beginners should be started separately from other students so that they can have the complete focus of the teacher in order for them to receive a good grounding in T'ai Chi Ch'uan basics and philosophy. The forty-eight posture Yang style form is taught as well as beginning Qigong and Chansijin, the traditional forms of energy training that are part of T'ai Chi Ch'uan training.

Private Lessons

Periodic private lessons are essential in the study of T'ai Chi Ch'uan (Taijiquan). In a private lesson, a teacher offers personal attention and encouragement - helping you to set goals and get the most out of your practice. The fee for a private lesson is $70. Groups pay proportionately less per person: two pay $40 each; three pay $30 each. Private lessons for more than three are not recommended since the teacher's attention will be too divided to be maximally effective.

Class Locations

Classes are held at the following Connecticut locations:

East Haddam, CT

We have moved from Colchester, CT to East Haddam, CT.

It's located at 85 Tater Hill Road East Haddam, CT 06423

Directions:

I have tried to make these directions as complete as possible.

Please read these first notes before going on. It really is not difficult to find us. The first time may be a little confusing because you have not been here before. It is worth the trip. Being in the country and closer to nature will make all our "T'ai Chi play" more beneficial.

If you are having difficulty call 334-8488.

FROM HARTFORD OR MIDDLETOWN:
Take Route 9 South to Exit 7. At stop sign at end of long ramp turn left onto Route 82. Follow 82 right at Tylerville Commons and over the bridge. You may continue following Route 82 (or take 2nd right onto Ray Hill Road -Very steep Hill- go to 2nd stop sign and turn right onto Route 82). Continue 2.7 miles and turn left onto Clark Hill Road - opposite a small white church. Go 2.6 miles to the top of the gradual hill and turn right onto Tater Hill Road.
