Mr. Shaver believes that beginners should be
started separately from other students so that
they can have the complete focus of the teacher
in order for them to receive a good grounding
in T'ai Chi Ch'uan basics and philosophy. The
forty-eight posture Yang style form is taught
as well as beginning Qigong and Chansijin, the
traditional forms of energy training that are
part of T'ai Chi Ch'uan training.

Private
Lessons
Periodic private lessons are essential in the study of T'ai
Chi Ch'uan (Taijiquan). In a private lesson, a teacher offers
personal attention and encouragement - helping you to set
goals and get the most out of your practice. The fee for a
private lesson is $70. Groups pay proportionately less per
person: two pay $40 each; three pay $30 each. Private lessons
for more than three are not recommended since the teacher's
attention will be too divided to be maximally effective.

Please
do not attempt to use your GPS to find us, especially
if you are coming from the South. All programs
show Tater Hill going through from the South but
you will come to an impassable dead end. This
can be VERY frustrating when you are trying to
get to class, so please follow these directions.
