Health Benefits

The initial focus is one of learning  basics well in a traditional manner that can then lead to receiving the many health benefits of T'ai Chi training. These include increased strength, balance and flexibility. Scientific studies have shown T'ai Chi to benefit a large  number of different conditions in mind and body, including:
 

  • High blood pressure
  • Hypertension
  • Raynaud's syndrome
  • Angina
  • Migraine
  • Stress
  • Type A anxiety
  • Depression
  • Arthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Improved peristalsis

It must be understood, however, that these benefits can only be realized through regular practice. Students progress at an appropriate rate for them that can lead,  ultimately, to  martial training and spiritual awareness, the goal of T'ai Chi Ch'uan training.
