An Internal Explanation of the Thirteen
Postures
Part 1 - by Wu, Yu Xiang
This classic is considered one of the
most important. It explores the
internal principles of T'ai Chi Ch'uan more deeply than some of
the
other classics. It was written by Wu, Yu Xiang after studying the
Salt
Shop classics and researching the principles for many years. Wu,
Yu
Xiang created the style that Master Jou felt showed the highest
potential for the developement of internal practice.
Time to be arranged with students.
This class will fill the Classics requirement for continuing to
the Advanced T'ai Chi Classes
or may be taken separately.
11 week Class fee will be $120.00.

Neigong can be defined as work with the internal energy
already present in the body. So this is different from
Qigong which is focused on drawing energy into the body
and using the breath to lead it to wherever it is needed.
In Neigong we are principally using mind intent to guide
the energy to where we want it to go in the body. This is
the beginning of the internal practices which strengthen
the power (jin) and lead to increased martial and healing
ability and finally to Taoist spiritual practices.
In this class we will begin with learning to breathe. This Taoist
method is called Longevity Breathing and is the basis of much
of the work over the next two years in this series of classes.
In future classes we will introduce the Taoist Water Method of
internal dissolving practices which can, at the very least, help
us to live without stress and improve health by dissolving the
internal blockages we have accumulated in our life.
Neigong 5 begins Saturday, Jan 7, 2012 from 9:00
to 10:15 AM
Neigong 8 begins Tuesday, Jan 3, 2012 from 6:00
to 7:15 PM
This Class will be held at the East Haddam School
Class Fee will be $150.00
This class may be taken independently or as a part
of the
T'ai Chi Ch'uan curriculum.

Dragon and Tiger Medical Qigong
Dragon and Tiger Medical Qigong is a 1,500-year-old
self-healing movement system based
on acupuncture. It is sometimes called "meridian-line qigong"
because it helps free you of
energetic (chi) blockages by balancing the chi flow
that runs through the acupuncture
meridians or energy channels of your body.
Dragon and Tiger Qigong is especially renowned for simultaneously
accomplishing three
major changes in the body: " Releases stagnant chi that
cannot move freely. Stagnant
chi can be located anywhere there is a physical, emotional
or psychic blockage of energy.
Increases the speed, strength and evenness of the circulation of
chi, blood and other fluids.
This balances the body's energy.
" Quickly raises the energy levels of the body to boost your
natural healing capacities.
This class will meet Saturdays starting January
7, 2012
10:30 to 11:45 a.m. - 10 Week Class Fee will be $150.00
This class may be taken independently or as a part of the T'ai Chi
Ch'uan curriculum.
This class will fill the requirement for entering classes beyond the Basics 3 level.
